Singapore is usually synonymous with adventure races, but the country does have a few that are sure to interest the adrenaline junky in you. From gruelling obstacle courses to taxing triathlons, adventure seekers have plenty to choose from.

Garang Warrior Ultra

Taking place at MacRitchie Reservoir, this is a taxing 12 hour event that will have you drenched in sweat and your legs burning by the time it’s through. On Sunday, 1 May, participants have from 7am to 7pm to run as many 5km loops as possible around the reservoir. If you manage to run 20 loops and over, that’ll mean that you have covered a distance of 100km or more, an impressive feat. Terrain is a mixture of trail, footpaths and road.

Other Spartan races include the Sprint (with 5km+ & over 20 obstacles) and the Beast, a real monster at 20km+ and over 40 obstacles to overcome.
